My name is Jane Fandrey, and I grew up in Red Wing, Minnesota, with my head in the clouds and my nose in a book. I earned my degree in Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota and daydreamed about making a living through art while holding several jobs. Today I live with my family in Edina, Minnesota.  I create art that invites contemplation and transports you somewhere else by celebrating both the magic of everyday life and the transformative moments we experience more rarely. 

 

I strive to capture a feeling rather than a photorealistic production. I am happiest mixing and layering paint, pastel, and pencils to achieve floaty and fanciful work that I hope brings you delight every time you look at it.
